Dear friends, today (June 22) is a doubly special day as it marks two musical events that have happened during my musical career with Helalyn Flowers. On this day, our EP Plaestik and our album Nyctophilia were released!
The EP Plaestik was a precursor to our debut album, A Voluntary Coincidence, which successfully established us as pioneers of Nu-Goth.
Nyctophilia is one of the darkest pop albums in our discography. Recorded and produced almost entirely at our studio during the night, it is a poetic ode to darkness, with the night serving as an inspiring muse, the mistress of dreams that take us to dimensions where reality is relative.
The singles released from these two albums were: for Plaestik - 'DGTal Blood', 'Voices', and 'E-Race Generation' (the album versions of the latter, different from the EP E-Race Generation) and for 'Nyctophilia' the electro goth-rock anthems 'Kamikaze Angel' and 'Tetrachromatic'.
These releases contain songs that are representative of our sound, have influenced a generation, and inspired many international bands and artists.
To show our gratitude for all the support we have received over the years, and to celebrate this new step that I hope will lead to a bright future with Helalyn Flowers, we are giving away the download of both releases for a limited time!
