This week’s *Electric Cafe In The Mix* is the final radio show before I had to take a break for personal reasons. The plan is, of course, for the radio show to return at some point in the future, but right now the focus is on the blog and this week’s mixtape. 

I don’t have an exact playlist, but we’ll hear artists such as:

CODE 64

One of my favourite Swedish synthband is without any doubt Code 64, their "Run To You" is one of the tracks I love to play on my dj sets when it comes to amazing synthmusic, a track I can listen to over and over again, one of my top 10 tracks of ALL TIME in EVERY style, I LOVE IT, but nuff said about that. 

The masters from Lysekil, Sweden working on a new album and I´m really looking forward to that but they had some time over to reform "Carry Me Home (reformed)"

deZeption is back with a new banger in "Am I You" - OUT NOW through Town And Towers Recordlabel.

GLAS

This week on Bandcamp we have BANDCAMP FRIDAY. Been a while since that and that shows directly in the mail when I was checking it out earlier today. I have been real busy Yesterday with work so I will do some posting today and next week about what came out this Friday on Bandcamp Friday.

First out is the Worldpremiere I had on last weeks Electric Cafe In The Mix from legendary Swedish act, GLAS.

The band was formed in 2016 with the ambition of broadening the Swedish synth-pop scene. They feature Swedish lyrics, classic synth-pop production, and draw inspiration from legendary synth bands to create new material. GLAS released an EP in 2017 that was warmly received by the Swedish electronic music community and experts within the Swedish synth-pop elite. 

Today, in 2026, the band is approaching 400,000 unique streams on Spotify with just five released songs. Now—after a long time in the making—the time has come for a new single. Their core ambition remains, but there is also a need to expand the definition of the "Gothenburg sound." This means moving beyond the typical guitar-based, indie-produced style to embrace a broader vision of the music from Gothenburg that deserves mainstream radio airplay. 

Niklas has spent the last three decades working as a songwriter for many well-known Swedish artists—most notably during the 1990s (including Molly Sandén, Liamoo, Dilba, and Agnes). Christian has worked as a DJ since the mid-eighties and hasn't hung up his headphones just yet. Mathilda provides the vocals for the upcoming single "Situationer," finally bringing her voice to an audience for the first time.

KOMMISSION Z80

Last out today is Swedish EBM/Industrial from Kommission Z80.

"Sometimes inspiration comes at random, and we've already got a planned EP in the pipeline, so this track is sort of a bonus thing. It will be sold right away on bandcamp, and next friday it will be available on streaming services.

Kommission Z80 from Borås / Sweden deliver a wonderful symbiosis of dancable old school EBM rhythms and beats. 

Gritty and harsh vocals, carried by catchy melodies and harmonies. A respectul salute to first generation old school EBM, with influences from several generations of EBM and alternative Electro, without just copying what has been done before. 

Every Song carries a unique identity.

FUTURE ANALOG ft JULIE HICKLIN

A beautiful cinematic Synthwave track from Future Analog with vocals by Julie Hicklin came out last week on New Synthmusic Friday. 

As his moniker describes, Future Analog is a producer that's pushing retrowave to the limits of the 80s nostalgia and into the 90s and 00s. Mixing the aesthetic of classic analog Synthpop and 90's House beats.
