Yves Larock is a producer and DJ from Neuchatel in Switzerland, for me and many others he is famous with the track "RISE UP".

He is also a member of the constellation Africanism All Stars.

Africanism All Stars is a France based project consisting of some DJs and mixers in France, who collaborate with African-based artists and acts.

Now he gone solo with a new EP called "FRIDAY IS DARK & TAPE"

Kick-start your New Year with the stunning double-header Friday Is Dark / Tape from Yves Larock, released through Millia Records on January 13th 2012.

Friday Is Dark sees a slightly eerie detour from Yves’ usually euphoric output. This refined and defined electronic experience begins with the basics but graduallygrows and flourishes into a stylised exploration of synthesised layers woven around a simple central theme.

In contrast, Tape sees Yves indulge our ears in a stereophonic smorgasbord of swiftly pulsating rhythms, undulating chords and a heady plethora of zipping, energetic sounds that seem to come into a life of their own as they wrap themselves around your brain and pull you into their strange but highly attractive zone.

Once again Yves proves that he’s simply not a producer that you can pigeonhole neatly into one ‘easy-to-handle’ genre. Ever creative, uncompromisingly challenging and always forward thinking,
