A day late, missed out Yesterdays celebration. One of my top 5 songs EVER, "In The Air Tonight" with Phil Collins was released for the first time, January 9, 1981.

"In The Air Tonight" is actually the debut solo single by Phil Collins. It was released as the lead single from Collins's debut solo album, Face Value that came out in January, 1981. 

Phil Collins own words about this masterpiece: 

''I don't know what this song is about. When I was writing this I was going through a divorce. And the only thing I can say about it is that it's obviously in anger. It's the angry side, or the bitter side of a separation.'' - Phil Collins 

"This song has become a stone around my neck, though I do love it. Most people have no idea what the song is about, but that's OK. I kind of like the mystery." - Phil Collins
