Most recently the single "Sacrifice" was released by one of last years and probably this years most streamed and listened artist in The Weeknd. 

"Sacrifice" is the second single of The Weeknds fifth studioalbum and latest album "Dawn FM" 

The song was written by the Weeknd, Daniel Lopatin, Max Martin, Oscar Holter, Carl Nordström and Swedish House Mafia; with Kevin McCord receiving songwriting credits for the sampling of the 1981 track "I Want to Thank You", performed by Alicia Myers. 

Production was handled by the Weeknd, Martin, Holter and Swedish House Mafia. 

The remix we have here is from Porter City, he is a French DJ/producer. Passionated about music, he is influenced by many artists such as Disclosure, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Calvin Harris, Moby and Duke Dumont.

I directly get inspired by this record and had the idea of the drop i made just before the vocals kicks... ''I don't wanna... Sacrifice''. So my main feeling was to combine some old house garage vibes with some 80s kind of dark synth and keep the atmosphere of the original track by adding some breakbeat drums style when the guitar parts are present. And for the vocal parts made by The Weeknd i wanted to keep them ''in front'' so before the drop i just have the vocals, some little percusive drums, some background sounds like ''birds sound...'' and some synthesizer like a pad and a string.
