On Friday, Nov 1 this week we have some good music coming, one album I am looking forward to is the new album "DEAD OF NIGHT" from the Swedish duo SJÖBLOM. Indie with Electropop in a perfect combo.

SJÖBLOM are a Swedish indie project, formed in 2016 in Stockholm. Members are Johan Sjöblom Eliot, also member of Swedish post-punk band The Exploding Boy, and Robert Eklind, previously in the band Malaise.

Johan SJÖBLOM known for his work with the celebrated Swedish post-punk band The Exploding Boy, is teaming up with Robert Eklind to explore new sonic territories. Together, they dive into electro-pop on their upcoming album, Dead of Night. Oscillating between driving tracks like "Fly Away With Me" and more introspective pieces like "Dead For Years," the album blends vibrant pop sensibilities with a touch of Britpop nostalgia. 

With Dead of Night, SJÖBLOM invites listeners into a world of dark, emotive melodies wrapped in expansive electronic textures. The lead single, "Dead For Years," is a hauntingly beautiful anthem that explores themes of love and loss. Ethereal synths and pulsating beats set the stage for Johan and Robert’s wistful melodies, creating a sound that’s both intimate and cinematic. The song masterfully weaves together melancholy and hope, leaving listeners with a bittersweet, lingering experience. Fans of The Exploding Boy will recognize Johan’s knack for evocative songwriting, while new listeners will be drawn to the duo's fresh electro-pop direction.
