Well, it´s Summertime and with that lots of busy work for me as a DJ but let´s take a check on this weeks Klangwald Radio Chart and the highest new-entry in Digital ENERGY that went in on number 7 this week with "Eternity". 

The new single from Digital ENERGY is a powerful electronic synthpop track with nice stabbing synths revving. The two track EP also contains a more aggresive remix with EBM vibes from the Klangwald favourites Starsign, both of the artists are signed by Infacted Recordings, so a nice collab there.

METHYL ORANGE

Thursday and vacation time, slow on the blog and with releases but today the new song "Caught in Thought" from the UK based producer Methyl Orange came out. 

Methyl Orange is the project of sonic architect Nick Wall, a (mostly) instrumental electronic artist based in Manchester, UK 

Biography & Pressrelease: 

The music from Methyl Orange is a melodic mix of richly layered, evolving synths and guitars, spanning a wide range of genres and styles, creating immersive cinematic soundscapes and blending modern synthwave and electronica nostalgia. 

Influences are wide-ranging, from early-'70s prog rock and Krautrock — including pioneers such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream — to classic '80s electronica, John Carpenter soundtracks, and countless other artists and sounds, all coming together in the unique sound that is Methyl Orange.

"Caught in Thought" is an epic cinematic soundtrack to an imaginary film, with the tagline “Some places make you stop. Other places never let you go …”

BLACK SWARM vs SIDELINE NEWS

One of the biggest magazine in Electronic music is Side-Line Magazine. A couple of weeks back they released two massive albums in charity for Ukraine, check out my earlier posts here on Muzik Mag Sweden. 

Side-Line Magazine have now their own Youtube channel and to celebrate that this track from Black Swarm came out last week. 

Pressrelease: 

Recorded in 2020 this track is the OST used on the Side-Line YouTube shorts, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram reels. The track was entirely programmed manually. It's being released now to coincide with the launch of the YouTube channel HERE

COMBICHRIST

It’s time for a new acquaintance for me. I guess most of you have heard about the succes Norway had in the World Cup? Well, they are not only good in football, the vikings, music is also something they can do and this post is from the band Combichrist that released their album "The Venom In The Mouth Of God" last week on Friday and New Music Friday.

The album is pure magic, powerful, electronic, aggrotech and industrial, definitely worth a to check out in my opinion, especially if you are a fan of the mixture between aggro and EBM, with industrial touches, the album is OUT NOW through Out Of Line Music.

Last out for today is one of my favourite artists from Germany in eXcubitors.
