Time now for an upcoming summer anthem here in Sweden, and believe my words, ok, they sing in Swedish so for my foreign readers, you probably not gonna understand what they sing, but it´s a happy track and if I translate "DANSA, PAUSA" in English, it will be "DANCE, PAUSE", the song is well played on radiostations like the Swedish channel of P3 and on NRJ among many more.
I played the track both on friday and saturday, damn, worked great, lot of happy people danced and sang along.
Biography:
Panetoz inspiration comes a lot from African rhythms. The style of music is very unique and the performances are far from what one is accustomed to seeing in the Swedish hip hop. It is about spreading joy and dancing, which they did in many major venues, including opening for Busta Rhymes and Magic System.
Panetoz has published two very popular singles, Mama Africa and Know You Are Free is played on radio stations and MTV. Right now they are working hard at the studio to put the finishing touches on their highly anticipated debut album.
The group Panetoz formed in 1997 and consisted of three team members. It was during a performance at the music class in high school as the group was formed. The group name PaNeToz is a combination of group members' names (Pa Modou, Nebeyu and Tobias).
After continued Pa Modou and Nebeyu continue working on the music and soon began writing their own lyrics and beats. After Hirvi, Dani and DJ Flatline joined Panetoz has matured into a group with 5 members.
2005 started Panetoz the NGO Way Out with the aim of creating a music studio where young people can come and record their music. This is because they know how hard it is to get studio time when you are young and do not have much money. This has led many young people had the chance to record demos for free.
Way Out is growing and is establishing new studios in other cities. In the current situation, they have over 100 active members who are recording their own music.
