INNER CITY

One of my biggest favourites from the late 80´s and beginning of 90´s is the lovely and legendary collaboration INNER CITY, they are back in full effect with all the members, KEVIN SAUNDERSON, ANN SAUNDERSON and PARIS GREY. 

The new single "BAD GIRL" have the great sound of disco in a mixture of todays housemusic, this is so epic, I just love the vocals and Paris Grey are still one of the best in the game. 

"BAD GIRL" and the EP contains lots of great remixes and among them we have a remix made by Kevin´s son Dantiez.

Hard to believe that after a quarter of century since Inner City released their iconic singles that 2013's remixes of Inner City’s timeless anthems; ‘Good Life’ and ‘Big Fun’ are still topping dj charts everywhere. After a show stopping live performance at Movement Festival in Detroit and an underground warehouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn late last year, Kevin Saunderson has announced that the new INNER CITY music is ready and is currently leaking out to DJ's all over. He wanted to let it leak without the normal fanfare to surprise and hopefully delight the fans. Now that it is official, we can announce that Kevin and INNER CITY are busy working on new music for the new album. The first single just went out and the trio (Kevin Saunderson, Ann Saunderson and Paris Gray) could not be more excited. The single is called ‘Bad Girl’ and should be easily recognized as a tribute to our beloved and sorely missed inspirational icon and superstar, DONNA SUMMER. The single will be released on Kevin's own seminal, KMS Records on the 19th May with an outstanding remix package to match. The single kicks off with Kevin's presentation of his NYC Club Mix of ‘Bad Girl.' This mix should flood the listener with a range of emotions, from heartfelt love for our lost diva,Donna to rekindling the passion for Inner City that inspired a generation the first time around and also serves as a warm invitation to a new audience of devoted fans. 

The release is backed up by more heavy-hitting remixes. Firstly from House of Virus, the joint DJ/production venture of Virus J & Dirty Orkestra, which has received championing support from Carl Cox on his Global radio show. Keeping it in the family, Dantiez Saunderson teams up with UK duo, Three20 to deliver their deep, techno-inspired rendition. Following with 7th Star, the new project from Less Hate and Valentina Black, take ‘Bad Girl’ on a funky, chopped-up ride, before France’s P-Ben (Motech / Ovum / Restructured / Bulletdodge) finishes the proceedings with his sonic, beat-driven interpretation.
