JONAS LINDELOF

Last post of tonight and for this week comes from Sweden and the little village of Mörarp, outside Helsingborg. We are talking about uplifting TRANCE in top notch quality.

Biography:

Jonas Lindelof started to create and experiment with music in the late 80´s on the Commodore Amiga platform. He was involved in making music for demos and intros in serval demo groups in the computer scene. The software he used was different tracker programs with a 4 mono channel engine, which played 8-bit samples with some modulation capability. So it was quite limited.

Jonas Lindelof have always been fascinated by sounds and especially analogue synthesisers. He found the digital synthesizers at the time very uninspiring because of the interface with displays and a very poor way to quickly access the parameters that effected the sound. The old analogue synthesizers were cool but unstable, fragile and hard to connect to a computer-based DAW.

When the Swedish company Clavia in 1994 released a digital synthesizer with an analogue interface, the Nord Lead 1, Jonas invested in his first hardware synthesizer and skipped the sample-based workflow. It was a whole new world that opened with software’s like Cubase and a real synthesizer.

So now in 2020 Jonas will release his first Trance (uplifting trance) EP with help from DJ and label owner Raffe Bergwall in Helsingborg. The EP will be released in March and contains 5 tracks.

At the moment Jonas feel that he is growing a lot as a musician and sound creator. Jonas have always been fascinated by the old Trance artists and how they can create such complex music with so much sounds and still make it sound that good. Jonas Lindelof starting to get the formula, but he still got a lot more to learn and that is the beauty of it. But at the end of the day, and when the kids go to sleep, it is still all about making some noise.

This is one of the upcoming tracks on the new EP from Jonas Lindelof in ´Braingeyser´
