EUROTIX

Up next it's time for this week's first album review, how many Espressos will Eurotix get with their album "Pause Music"

I just love this sound, I have been a dj since the late 80s and the 90s and still doing some gigs, so I have played a lot of 80s synth, italo and eurodisco through all the years I have been active.

The album "Pause Music" contains 12 great songs in the styles of Italo, Retrowave, Synthpop and Synthwave. I like the playfulness with that decades in the album, especially the italosound.

You can hear that very clearly in the songs, vocals are 100%, excellent productions, you really feel all the effort the album have been through. Last time an album came out from the duo was back in 2019.

The songs in the new album is mostly uptempo but we have some slower ones to, it is a good mix on the album.

The explanation they have in their biography fits: Eurotix are ready to put the "pop" back in synthpop. Members Dennis Alexis Hellström (vocals) and Larry Forsberg (keys and knobs) both share a passion for 1980's music, so their songs are heavily influenced by the synthpop, italo and euro disco sound of that era.
But with a modern twist.

Favouritesongs for me on the album is "Delicate Situations" - "Just Another Night" with a touch of "I Feel Love" in it and the Bronski Beat version - "Tom Jones" is a bit funny, I mean, who doesn´t wanna be Tom Jones? well, the early version of him. and finally "Boys Will Be Boys"

The album "Pause Music" from Eurotix gets 8 of 10 espressos
