THE SOUND VEIL SOCIETY

The Swedish/Norway duo of The Sound Veil Society have released their debutalbum "Things We Kept" that is OUT NOW through the Swedish label of Progress Productions. 

The Sound Veil Society is Hasse Mattssoin and Erlend Eilertsen.

Finally... the long awaited debutalbum from Swedish/Norwegian duo The Sound Veil Society. 

The album "Things We Kept" was released on September 11th 2026 via Progress Productions on formats: Digital, CD (Incl. Bonustracks), Limited Edition Black/White Splatter Vinyl and an extremlly limited edition MiniDisc (Includes exclusive bonustrack only released on MiniDisc). 

The wait has been long but ever since the band dropped their debutsingle "The River" they have been working hard to deliver what we promise is one of the strongest records EVER to be released within the electronic popmusic scene. They also invited swedish act KÅRP to feature on one of the tracks. 

To celebrate the release of the preorder we also released a video of a liverecording from E-Only Festival / Leipzig 2026-03-13 captured by no other than the brilliant Alex Jung. The band is already confirmed for several festivals 2027 including Eastside in Halle/Salle. 

My thoughts: 

The album contains 11 tracks and if you are a fan of for example KITE you will adore this duo, this is indie, electronic pop when it´s best. 

The debutsingle "The River" is one of my favourite tunes, I understand why that was the debut, with a great vocal and a classic right on production. The single "Hunger For Light" is another great track, with a smooth pad in the start and a build up that reminds me of Summer and blue sky, so two brilliant singles there. "OK" is also one of the singles of the album, also an enjoyable track to listen to. The other songs on the album goes in the spirit of an electronic indiesound and electronic pop, synthpop, good productions, a fine line and I can imagine this album on the homespeakers when you are just chillin in the sofa, and reboot your brain after a tough and long day at work. 

Ok, my top three from the album is: "The River", "Bound In Circles" just love the soundscape there and "Hunger For Light"
