COLOR THEORY

We stay put in Trumpland and this time we have a fresh synthpop, discoish darkwave track from Color Theory in "Time To Kill" 

I feel a bit of Howard Jones and Giorgio Moroder over it, usually when we hear new music from Color Theory it´s with inspiration from Depeche Mode and similar, and if you look at "Time to Kill" is picking up some lovely press from both sides of the Atlantic. 

Here are some highlights: 

Side-Line writes that the track "sets a melodic electropop arrangement against a lyric about suppressed anger," and that "mix of bright synthesizer melody and dark subject matter runs through most of his catalogue." 

Zero Music Magazine hears "a melodic and catchy electropop sound, but the lyrics are filled with thoughts of suppressed anger," spiraling into "twisted revenge fantasies about killer bees, wild boars, and helicopter blades." (translated from Swedish) 

AeschTunes hears "an influence from Giorgio Moroder with some hints of New Order," calling the track "a character study of someone who has some serious anger management issues." Lesley adds, "I'm glad to hear Brian taking a chance and trying something a little different here." 

ABSYNTH describes "an adrenaline pumping rhythm and an explosive synth burst," with vocals carrying "a melody that haunts the music" and "a cascade of fire" pouring out of the synths.
